It is one of several psycho-sensory modalities and can be self-applied as well as be delivered by someone else. The touch creates electrical and chemical changes in the brain and body that calm the brain activity and boost the positive chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine (and reduces our stress hormones).

Is this backed by science?

I’ve tried loads of things before — will this actually work for me?

  You’re in good company. A lot of people who find this course have already been through the therapy and self-help grindstone. Talking therapy, CBT, mindset tools, EMDR, even trying Havening (via online or in seminar demonstrations) — but without clear guidance and knowing how to tailor it to you, the effects aren’t the same, if any at all!

Will it help with anxiety?
Absolutely! It is one of my go to tools that I show my clients for self application to work on helping their nervous system ‘down-regulate’ (posh speak for calm the *bleep down!) and return back to a state where they are ‘back online’ and able to handle things with a calm, clear focus.  Used when we are ‘wired’ means we are using it when those anxiety circuits are ‘activated or (more posh speak) potentiated’. If we Haven when those circuits and neural receptors are activated, we can de-activate (depotentiate) for good, leading to resilience and a calmer state of being.

Every day clients report back that it shuts down the self-talk and mental chaos, as well as soothing and reducing the body sensations and symptoms that so often go with anxiety and panic.

Will I have to dig up my past? I'm scared what it might bring up.

No. This is purposefully not using Havening for Trauma. It’s amazing at helping with it, but not in self-directed study without a qualified hand to guide YOU and keep you safe at all costs!

This course is for daily stress, anxiety, emotional build-up, and nervous system regulation… AND to then prime you (and your brain!) to better quality thinking, hope, possibility and creativity… and everything that leads to. There’s no need (or expectation) to rehash your story or process anything heavy (that’s where I do ABSOLUTELY advocate for a qualified Practitioner to help you through it). You won’t be told to “sit with your feelings” or relive anything traumatic — this is about forward-focused emotional freedom.

Absolutely. No jargon (well, I am a neuro-nerd, but I promise I keep it simple!). No complicated techniques. Just short videos, worksheets, and tools explained clearly so you can learn as you go, even if you’ve never tried anything like this before.

How long does it take to work?
Sometimes minutes. Really. Many people feel lighter, calmer, or more grounded after just a few minutes, although we tend to recommend longer for optimum effect (but it’s even possible to do other things while you’re applying it if that works alongside your intentions of using it). But honestly, learning to take the time out to attend to ourselves and just decompress is a ritual worth putting the time into.

And the more regularly you use it, the more your nervous system gets the memo: “I can ‘stand’ down” and the more you’ll feel the benefits of it. Then you’re free to explore its many other uses.

What if I do it wrong?
You can’t. Seriously. There are many ways to apply and do Havening. The important thing is experimenting with what works best for you. The course walks you through everything step-by-step, and includes adjustments and variations depending on what you’re trying to achieve or even if you’re simply feeling stuck.

How long is the course?

You get bite sized modules sent to you over the course of 10 days so you have time to use what you discover between modules. 

The video content is just over an hour in total, combined with the workbooks and exercises.
